A friend of mine once told me, “A raging fire casts light everywhere and you can’t be angry when people gather around the light, especially when the flame is so euphoric.” It taught me to show my light to those who replenish it, so my flame will never burn out. This was a very powerful concept to me and inspired me to create this series. In thinking, I compared the light of my consciousness to color, movement, light and body parts. I used textures of or remind me of earth, water, air, and fire to emulate the sacred serenity and power of self importance. Ultimately, this is how I see these words visually.
